Turn your INCHES TO YARDS

When converting running inches to yardage’s, the total number is divided by 36, this is the number of inches in one yard. Do not be afraid if the resulting number contains a decimal.

To convert the decimal into a fraction, simply refer to the chart below and select the nearest fraction. For example: 238"÷36" is 6.61". The next highest decimal equivalent of .61 is .625; therefore, the total yardage you should purchase would be 6-5/8 Yards.

You should always round up to the nearest 1/8 yard increment.
